I'm Natasha. A clinical psychologist, working mum, and someone who spent years looking like I had it all together while quietly falling apart inside. 

I got onto my clinical psychology doctorate and threw everything into it. I managed the stress. I kept going. From the outside I looked completely in control... the career, the drive, the woman who could handle it.

Then I had my son. Postnatal depression hit hard. I went back to work, threw myself in, wanted to do well professionally and be present at home and a good partner. I kept adding more to an already overwhelmed system.

Then my daughter arrived. The pandemic hit three weeks later. I didn't stop. I don't think it even occurred to me to stop. Postnatal depression came again, and this time my body started speaking in ways I couldn't ignore. My hair fell out. My immune system struggled. And here's the part that matters most: I am a psychologist. I knew the tools. I was doing the mindset work, the thought challenging, all of it. And it still wasn't enough. Because I was trying to think my way out of something that was living in my body. You cannot think your way out of a nervous system that is stuck in survival mode.

It took me two years to fully recover. Two years of figuring out what actually worked... not the generic advice, not the bubble baths, not getting up earlier. The real work. The nervous system work.
